ASTROBIO™ PA replaces PM acetate (PMA, propylene glycol methyl ether acetate, CAS 108-65-6) in coatings, adhesives, paints and inks, in coil coating and in silk-screen printing inks. A bio-based blend of aliphatic esters and alcohols with a strong solvency power for many resins and polymers, 20-30% more efficient than PMA at reducing viscosity.

ASTROBIO™ PA formulates coatings, adhesives, paints and inks based on acrylics, epoxies, alkydics, vinylics, polyesters, melamines, phenolics and ABS resins, with a great solvency power for rosins, nitrocellulose and some kinds of nylons. It is used in coil coating and silk-screen printing inks, cleans and degreases in industrial settings, and is compatible with bio-based polymers such as bio-based polyesters.
